Points value overlay

The points overlay in SimpliStay lets you see what a hotel's nightly cash rate translates to across six major loyalty programs.

How it works

The overlay takes the property's nightly cash rate and divides it by theillustrative CPP baseline for each program to estimate the equivalent points cost:

Points estimate = (Cash rate × 100) ÷ CPP baseline

For example, a $210/night room at a Hyatt property with an illustrative 2.10¢ baseline implies approximately 10,000 points per night. This is an estimate — actual award rates depend on the specific property, availability, and date.

Programs shown

The overlay covers: Chase UR, Amex MR, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt, and Capital One.

Limitations

  • The overlay uses illustrative CPP baselines — not live award pricing from each program.
  • Award availability is not guaranteed. The estimate shows you the math; you'll need to check availability directly with the program.
  • Some properties don't participate in points programs or have category-specific pricing that differs from the baseline.
